As part of our ongoing Erasmus+ project, Elit Grup Koleji proudly organized a comprehensive and interactive “Green Energy Day” to educate students about renewable energy sources and the importance of environmental sustainability. This event was part of a joint initiative carried out with partner schools across Europe, all working toward building a more climate-conscious generation.
The day began with a pre-survey to evaluate students' prior knowledge of energy sources, conservation, and sustainability. The results helped guide the day’s activities and highlighted key areas for learning.
Students were introduced to the concept of “Green Energy” through engaging classroom presentations covering solar, wind, and water energy, as well as discussions about energy conservation and its vital role in protecting the environment. The presentations opened the door for lively group discussions, where students shared their ideas and concerns about climate change and brainstormed possible solutions.
The highlight of the event was a series of hands-on workshops, where students applied what they had learned through fun, creative, and educational tasks. These included:
Building solar ovens to understand how sunlight can be used as a direct energy source,
Designing miniature wind turbines to explore wind power,
Creating waterwheel models to demonstrate the basic principles of hydropower.
These interactive projects allowed students to see renewable energy in action, making complex scientific ideas both accessible and exciting.
In addition, the day included art and recycling workshops, where students created posters and eco-projects using recyclable materials. This not only fostered creativity but also deepened their understanding of how waste reduction and recycling support a healthier planet.
At the end of the event, a post-survey was conducted to assess what students had learned. The comparison with the pre-survey results showed a clear and measurable increase in students’ knowledge and awareness of renewable energy and sustainability.
Thanks to this meaningful and inspiring day, our students took a valuable step toward becoming environmentally responsible individuals who understand the importance of clean energy and sustainable living.
As part of our Erasmus+ project, Elit Grup Koleji organized an inspiring and educational series of activities focused on one of the most pressing global challenges of our time: climate change. This event was conducted as part of a wider European collaboration, with partner schools across different countries hosting similar initiatives to foster environmental responsibility among young learners.
The program began with a pre-survey, designed to gauge students’ initial understanding of climate change, its causes, and consequences. Based on these results, we developed a series of interactive presentations and classroom discussions that introduced students to key concepts such as greenhouse gases, global warming, human impact on the planet, and the urgent need for climate action.
Students then participated in a variety of engaging group activities, each designed to reinforce learning through creativity, collaboration, and real-life application:
Board Race Game – A dynamic brainstorming activity where students raced to write down as many climate-related terms and ideas as possible. This promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and quick recall of environmental vocabulary.
“Learning Wall” Poster Project – Students wrote their personal thoughts, questions, and reflections about climate change inside a large illustration of the Earth. This visual display became a living wall of learning in the classroom, encouraging continued dialogue and awareness.
Creative Reuse Projects – Through hands-on workshops, students created artworks, posters, and costumes from recyclable and waste materials. This activity blended artistic expression with environmental consciousness, highlighting the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
🌳 Eco-Friendly Outdoor Activities – To connect learning with real-life action, students took part in tree planting, and participated in walking and cycling activities that emphasized sustainable, low-impact lifestyles.
To measure the impact of the program, a post-survey was conducted at the end of the event. The results revealed a clear increase in students’ understanding of climate change and their awareness of solutions. The comparison with the pre-survey results demonstrated that the activities had a strong educational impact, inspiring students to become more active and informed environmental stewards.
Through this event, our students not only gained valuable knowledge but also took real steps toward becoming part of the solution to climate change. Their curiosity, creativity, and commitment were on full display throughout the week.
Elit Grup Koleji, organized a special activity on the theme of “Extinctions” with primary school students. The aim of the activity was to raise environmental awareness, foster sensitivity towards nature, and highlight the importance of protecting endangered species. The activity began with a pre-activity survey to assess students' existing knowledge on the topic. Through this survey, students shared their initial ideas and understanding about endangered animals. Following the survey, our teachers conducted informative presentations about endangered species. Students engaged with educational videos, explored visual materials, and learned in detail about various animal species and their natural habitats. During group activities, they discussed possible actions to protect these species.
In the hands-on phase, students creatively expressed what they had learned by preparing drawings, posters, and wall displays. To measure the effectiveness of the activity, a post-survey was conducted. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding—many students who had initially answered incorrectly were able to respond accurately after the activity, demonstrating its strong educational impact.
Through this event, our students took an important step towards becoming more environmentally conscious individuals who care deeply about nature, animals, and the planet.
As part of our Erasmus+ project, Elit Grup Koleji successfully hosted a “Seed Awareness” topic days event aimed at helping students better understand the vital role of seeds in nature, their life cycle, and their importance for sustainability.
The event began with a pre-survey to assess students’ prior knowledge about seeds. The results showed that while many students were familiar with basic ideas, there were clear gaps in their understanding—especially regarding how seeds grow into plants, the function of roots, and how climate change can affect plant development.
Throughout the event, students took part in a range of interactive, hands-on activities, including story reading, creative writing, drama, games, guided observations, and simple experiments. These activities allowed students to explore how seeds sprout and grow when provided with the right conditions, such as sunlight, water, and nutrient-rich soil.
In addition, students examined how climate-related challenges, such as drought and extreme heat, can negatively impact plant growth, encouraging thoughtful discussions about environmental responsibility.
One of the highlights of the event was the “My Seed Bank” project. In this activity, students collected local seeds from their homes, villages, and surrounding areas. Working collaboratively, they categorized, stored, and displayed the seeds, gaining insight into the importance of preserving local and traditional seed varieties. Students also prepared informational cards for each seed type and created posters to share their knowledge with the wider school community.
At the end of the event, a post-survey revealed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of seed-related concepts, plant growth, and the link between nature and sustainable living.
Students learn about the topic of the ecological footprint and then present it both to their classmates and to the community.
